Enterprise Platform Middleware
Designed and developed middleware services for enterprise-scale platforms handling high-volume request traffic. Focused on backend APIs, reliability, service-to-service communication and integration with frontend and product systems.
Read the case study
- Problem
- An enterprise platform required middleware services that could absorb high-volume request traffic while remaining easy to evolve as upstream and downstream contracts changed across releases.
- What I built
- Backend services and REST APIs that sit between an upstream gateway layer and downstream domain services, with cleanly separated handlers, structured logging and configurable runtime behaviour.
- Tech stack
- Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, AWS, OpenShift, Docker, REST APIs.
- Impact
- Stabilised production traffic paths, reduced repeat incident classes through better error surfacing and made integration with adjacent teams faster via clearer API contracts.
- Note
- Client-specific architecture, naming and metrics are intentionally not disclosed. This case study describes the engineering problem, my contribution and approach only.
